Anchorage police identify victims found in burning SUV
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Two people found dead in a burned car were the wife and teenage stepdaughter of the man charged in the case.
The Anchorage Daily News reports 34-year-old Tylan Fely is charged with first-degree murder, arson and other counts in the deaths of Cecilia Tuuaga and her 13-year-old daughter, identified by the initials N.T.
Their bodies were found Saturday night in a sport utility vehicle engulfed in flames in east Anchorage.
Fely is represented by the Alaska Public Defender Agency, which did not respond to an email request for comment Tuesday.
Police say Fely on Sunday first said he didn’t know where his wife and stepdaughter were. He later said he has struggled with his wife over a gun and the girl was shot accidentally.
