OPA! Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church (HTGOC) is hosting their 27th Annual Alaska Greek Festival Friday, Aug. 20 – Sunday, Aug. 22.
The Greek Festival will take place at HTGOC, 2800 O’Malley Road from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 20-Saturday, Aug. 21, with drive thru pickup only from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22.
The Alaska Greek Festival committee has taken every precaution to ensure the health and safety of volunteers and visitors alike. The Greek word for hospitality literally translates to, “love of the stranger.” Being hospitable people, the Greeks take their responsibility for the safety and welfare of their visitors first and foremost in everything they do for this Festival.
This year, the Alaska Greek Festival is a proud supporter of Beacon Hill. A portion of all Festival proceeds will go to the organization’s goal of making sure children in Alaska who need homes, go to warm and loving homes. Separate donations to Beacon Hill are graciously accepted.
