Favorite Condiments By State

Do you have a favorite condiment? Of course you do. We all do. Not only do I have a favorite one I’m very specific about the brand as well.  I once broke up with a girl because she kept buying the wrong brand. I grew up in western Pennsylvania so maybe it could be based on where you live or grew up!

I found a study from influenster.com that looked at all 50 states and their top trending condiments of choice. And what they consider a condiment is a lot more broad than I would think.

So Hidden Valley Ranch was found to be the #1 choice in Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, and West Virginia . . . while Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is #1 in Hawaii, Minnesota, Oregon, Alaska, and Colorado. Wait, what? Coconut oil is now considered a condiment? If I can’t dip my french fries in it then it doesn’t count in my book.

Frank’s Red Hot took the top spot in four states:  Arizona, Maryland, North Carolina, and Texas.

Yellow mustard was king in Delaware, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Oh, and my favorite, ketchup,  was almost shut out of the whole thing. Only my home state of Pennsylvania favored ketchup and of coure it’s Heinz.
