KENAI, Alaska (AP) – Two women found shot to death at a Kenai home were a mother and daughter.

The Peninsula Clarion reports Kenai police identified the women killed as 60-year-old Rachelle Armstrong and 39-year-old Lisa Rutzebeck.

Police early Sunday morning responded to reports of a shooting at the home on the city’s north side. The home is near Wildwood Correctional Complex.

Police said a suspect had left the scene.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set black man wearing a gray hoodie and orange cap who should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said there appeared to be “some association” between the suspect and victims.

The women’s bodies were transferred to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
