The Cost Of A Margarita In Alaska

Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow and just because we can’t go out doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate from our homes. Today we’re sharing with you a study mapping out the cost of making a margarita in every state.

The team at House Method put this together by finding the prices of margarita ingredients at popular retailers. They calculated the overall cost for each state by averaging the price of each ingredient and multiplying that by the percentage of the product that would be used to make one margarita.

In Alaska, it costs $2.83 to make a margarita, making it one of the most expensive states in the country. Nationally, it costs $2.56 to make a margarita. You can see the full state breakdown here.
