Earthquake jolts Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A moderate earthquake jolted Anchorage Thursday afternoon but there were no immediate reports of damage. The magnitude 4.2 quake was centered about 35 miles southeast of Anchorage, and was widely felt in the city and in the northern suburbs. The Alaska Earthquake Center says the quake hit about 12:40 p.m. at a depth of about 13 miles.
